| iSlide Pro-X Tree Type I "Gold" demonstration (sliding menu)
|
|
- This menu is a sliding menu with submenus which slide out vertically from beneath the parent items.
- This demonstrates the ability of Pro-X applets to display non-Latin character
sets. On appropriate browsers and operatings systems, the applet will display
Hebrew, Greek, Arabic, Japanese and Chinese characters. Click open the folders
to view the samples.
- Unlike webpages, Pro-X applets can simultaneously support multiple character
sets within any one implementation, which makes them excellent for multiple
character set sites.
- Conditions for viewing such character sets (approximate)
- Installation of the character set on your OS (on most browsers you
can do this by just choosing an "encoding" from the top menu bar and then
instructions will appear which automatically download the character set
from the internet).
- Use of either a recent Netscape browser or (for Microsoft browsers) a recent
Windows operating system (98 2nd ed., NT SP4+, 2000).
- Technical buffs may be surprised to note that Pro-X applets are
nevertheless JDK 1.0.2 compatible (of course, they won't display such
characters sets on v.3 browsers, but the rest of the applet will still work).
- To find out more, continue to the next sliding menu applet demo...
